FAQ
Who is the Tempo Duo for?
It is intended for people who want to ski with the help of a pilot, whether they participate a little or actively. The seat, support and position are chosen according to needs. The pilot remains responsible for steering and adapts the downhill to the sitskiers's abilities.
Where does the pilot position themselves?
The pilot skis on their own skis behind the frame, which they steer with the steering bar. This arrangement allows the downhill to be shared while leaving the sitskiers the possibility to participate according to their mobility and the chosen configuration.
What is the maximum weight of the sitskiers?
The Tempo Duo is designed for a sitskiers weighing up to 90 kg. The choice of configuration must also take into account the pilot's abilities and the handling required. For a heavier passenger, our team can guide you toward the Tandem’Flex.
Is training required?
A Tempo Duo piloting training is recommended. The pilot must be a good skier and learn how to master steering, handling and using ski lifts. TESSIER partner instructors offer this training.
Which seat should I choose, and can the passenger take part?
The articulated seat allows a more active position and an adjustable backrest. The Grand Confort seat is suited to people looking for more comfort or support. Other TESSIER seats can be used by skiers with good upper-body mobility. Participation depends on each person's abilities.
Can I switch from Duo use to Solo use?
Yes. The steering bar is removable and the frame can be configured for Solo use. The change may require adapting the seat and equipment. Our team will help you define a configuration that suits the users and the intended uses.
It is also possible to use a frame Tempo Uniski, Tempo Dualski or Tempo Access with an assistance or steering bar to arrive at a product similar to the Tempo Duo.
What is the difference from the Tandem’Flex?
The Tempo Duo emphasizes modularity and the possibility for the sitskiers to participate, with a pilot on their own skis. The Tandem’Flex is a device dedicated to assisted skiing, which carries passengers up to 130 kg and requires mandatory specific training. The choice depends on the passenger, the pilot and your organization.
What are the weight and size of the Tempo Duo?
